Pumpkin Patch

On Sunday we were able to go to the pumpkin patch with the boys.  They look forward to it every year and were very excited to go.  Even Payton was excited.  I know he soon will think this is too babyish.  Here Beckym and Cadynce are looking through a cutout.

The three boys in the corn maze.

Slide.

Beckym wasn't so sure about the slide so he did the little one instead,

Cadynce on the zip-line.

Beckym was brave enough to do the zip-line though.

The one family picture we have on the hay ride.

All the boys looking for that perfect pumpkin.

Soccer

Cadynce had his last soccer game on Saturday and here are a few pictures of him playing on Saturday.

Here he had just got done kicking the ball and about fell over I guess.

He just kicked the ball away from the other kid here.

His whole team.

It was the last game so they got their trophy's here too.

What a good season Cadynce!

Football

Here are some more pictures of Payton playing football.  This game they ended up losing 14 to 13 but the boys played very well.  Payton scored and touchdown and then got the extra point as well.  He was then the quarterback and threw one long and they ran it in for a touchdown.  He is number 18 so look for him in the pictures that way.
Huddling up before a play.

Nana and Papa made it to this game as well.  Here Beckym is with Nana watching the game.

Payton is running after the guy with the ball.

He caught him and helped bring him down.

These two cheering on the fence.

Payton kicking off here.

He is in the back standing more upright quarterbacking.

His stance while waiting on the other team.  He looks just like Scott a lot when he is playing.

Here Ben and Payton are tackling this guy.

Silly Bands

Silly bands are the new big thing right now and Beckym seems to love them as well.  He went into Cadynce's room the other day and came down with all these on at the same time.

Braces

Last Monday Payton got his braces put on .  He has probably lost about 10 pounds becuase he hasnt been able to eat anything but soup and pasta becuase they have hurt so bad.  Last night he finally was able to eat some real food.  So I think he is getting used to them hurting him.  He gets his spacers out this week and then will have some rubber bands so I hope these dont hurt too much.  I cant believe I have a son who is old enough to have braces! Hang in there bud it should only be about 18 months and then you will be done!

Here is a close up of his Hawkeyes colored bands.

Visit with relatives from Nashville

Beckym and I headed back to Iowa to visit our relatives that were in town from Nashville.  While we were there we also got together with Grandma and Grandpa Van Zante.  Here is Grandma Nettie reading a book to Beckym.

Beckym and Lake watching a movie together.

I think this picture looks like a Mercedes commercial:)

Lake getting ready to run into the pond just barely.

Nana and Beckym feeding the fish in their pond dog food. Nice boots!!

Josh and Lake trying to get a ball out of the water.

Lake chased me all around the pond while I was taking pictures.  Here he is just about to get me.

Beckym showing Kelvey the fish and frogs in the pond.

Stacey trying to get that perfect picture of Kinley.

I thought this was a cool picture of Beckym by the tree.

Beckym and Lake in the corn.

It was a little difficult to get all the kids in this picture.

Lake and Kelvey both thought they could eat the corn right out of the field.

Harper with her kitten at Brandyn and Emily's house.

Beckym got brave enough to hold a kitten too.

Josh on Nana's bike.  A little different from what he is used to.

Everyone wanting to help get supper ready.

How many Hawkeyes fans does it take to stir a salad.

Beckym took a break from eating to cheer for the Hawks.

After we ate it got a little crazy.  Here all the kids are trying to jump off the fireplace.

Ring-around the rosey.

Stacey really liked falling down.

Beckym again stopping to check out the game on TV.

Kinley was nice and snuggled with me.

Beckym didn't really like sharing his momma so he had to sit on me as well.

Then there was a game of hide-and-seek.

Counting behind the chair.

Beckym is looking for Joyce who was the designated hider.

They finally found her.

Beckym wanted to wear Kelvey and Kinley's hair bows.

Settling down and reading a book before everyone went home to bed.
